Pets and Nosmates

Throughout the game, you'll encounter pets and Nosmates that will accompany and help you on your adventures. Pets can be captured throughout the whole game. Nosmates will also join you after you complete certain quests. Keep in mind though, that if the Nosmate or pet is a higher lvl than you, you won't be able to have them in your party unless you've already captured or had them join you when you were on a higher lvl. For pets, you have to be on a higher lvl to catch them. For Nosmates you need to be on the same or higher lvl to recruit them.

Nosmates will join you once you complete certain quests, but pets need to be captured. To capture a pet, make sure the capture skill is set on a skill quick slot. If not, press "k" to open up your skill menu and it's the picture that has a net on it. Drag that skill to one of the skill quick slots on the bottom of the screen. As you can see, I have mine set on "6". So when I want to capture a pet, I can just press "6" and the skill will be used. When capturing a pet, it's always best to weaken it first, then using the capture skill. If you fail, just try again after the cooldown period.

Nostale Pets and Nosmates will be stored in a place called miniland unless of course, they're with you. The miniland will be on the east side of town. When you look on your minimap in town, it'll be the little house on the bottom right corner. Your pet or Nosmate will return to the miniland once they die. If they die, just head back to the miniland and put them in your party again. Just click on them and then click accompany. You can also have them automatically revive with seeds of chaos. You can have a total of 3 party members including yourself, 1 Nosmate and 1 pet. Also, you'll get more experience training with Nosmates and pets rather than solo training.
